BLAME IT ON GUTENBERG

Learning to read doesn’t come naturally. It involves repurposing neural pathways originally adapted to spotting prey or avoiding predators. That’s why many highly intelligent individuals will slog painfully through this text, while effortlessly absorbing the visual and verbal content in this trailer for a new documentary about dyslexia produced by Black Pearl. UMASS LOWELL ATHLETICS

One of several videos produced for the university and its largest, and highly successful, capital campaign. This program features several stand-out student athletes who speak to the thrill and rigors of competing at the Division 1 level.

ANOTHER COLD CALL

Imagine getting a call from your school for a donation from The Shield’s Detective Vic Mackey. We did and worked with BU alum Michael Chiklis to produce a series of award-winning fund-raising spots for Boston University’s Advancement team.

We’ve filmed on five continents. . .

and on locations ranging from a salt mine 2,000 feet below ground to a British Navy tall-ship 20 miles out to sea. We’ve closed down freeways in L.A. to film convoys of cement trucks, donned “bunny suits” to shoot in R&D “clean rooms”, lugged cameras across rice paddies in the Philippines, been nearly blown over by the exhaust of a 747 while filming from the end of a runway at LAX, shot a majestic sunrise at the feet of the Egyptian pyramids, hired an F5 fighter jet as prop, filmed cloud formations in cinemascope with a specially rigged Lear jet, scrambled out of the way of a raging bull that charged onto a set in Mexico, and aimed our cameras into the heavy waters of a nuclear reactor.

We’ve also had the honoring of filming all manner of individuals and captured volumes of amazing and intriguing stories. We’d love to do the same with you!
